Smego and Matilda Mae "Mary" Smego (Riddell); his wife Agnes Smego of Pinckneyville, IL; his children, Michael Smego (Lettie), Richard Smego, Matthew Smego, Joan Smego, Catherine Hughes (Dennis), Margaret Smego and Michelle Smego; and his siblings, Andrew Paul Smego, Esther Marie Mogis, May T. Parks and Tillie Anna Smego. He was also cherished by three grandchildren.
