It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nelson Douglas Rule of Pinckneyville, Illinois, born in Cutler, Illinois, who passed away on April 1, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his son Kipp; his parents, Earl and Alice; and his siblings, James, Joel and Phyllis.

He is survived by : his wife Sharon; and his children, Nicole McKinley (Mike) of Washington, IL and Garrison Rule of Wilmington, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
