He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Pyatt and Alberta Pyatt; and his brother Robert Gene "Bob" Pyatt. He is survived by : his wife Marilyn Pyatt of Pinckneyville, IL; his children, Gail Batteau (Kevin) of Pinckneyville, IL, Michael Pyatt (Leeann) of Pinckneyville, IL and Clint Pyatt (Jessica) of Pinckneyville, IL; his grandchildren, Meghan Pyatt, Taylor Pyatt (Alicia), Austin Pyatt (Hayley), Luke Batteau, Grant Batteau, Shea Pyatt and Miner Pyatt; his great grandchildren, Houston, Kendrick and Foster; his brother Paul Pyatt (Joyce); and his siblings-in-law, Angie Pyatt and Jim Caldwell (Eleanor). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Baptist Children's Home in Carmi, IL or The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital-Transplant Patient Care Fund.
