He is survived by: his wife Diane Owens; his children, Richard Garner (Kathi) of Patoka, Elizabeth Garner of Salem and Vivian Garner of Red Bud; his grandchildren, Haylee Doerflein, Gabrielle Fetsch (Shawn), Lucas Doerflein, Hannah Hall (Tyler), Travis Nattier, Allie Garner and Jack Garner; and his great grandchildren, Ivan, Kyson, Ya'Vonni, Nova, Erin, Daphne and Remmington.

Friends may make memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
