It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Margaret Shmidt (Piper City, Illinois), who passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hanlon and Effie Manis (Hanlon); her parents-in-law, Everett Myers and Edna Myers; the father of her children Robert "Bob" Myers; her husband Jerry Schmidt; her sister Colleen Jones; her brother-in-law Keith Jones; her sister Shirley Burkhart; her brothers-in-law, Jim Burkhart and Virender Bhalla; her brothers, Joe (Lois Boma), Roger (Helen Kelleher), Alec (Mary Ellen Crandall), Bob (Shirley Yana) and Wayne (Marilyn Bouhl); her niece Gina Jones; and her nephews, Tony Kelleher, Bill Smith and Dan Crandall.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Myers (Gay Lynn) of Coweta, John Myers (Debra) of Denton, Kelly Wiedel (Bart) of Muskogee, Annita Myers of Muskogee, Annette Hobbs (Jessie) of Fort Gibson and Tammy Morgan (Jay) of Splendora, Texas; her siblings, John Hanlon (C. J.) of Emington, Mary Bhalla of Naperville, Illinois and Jim; and her sister-in-law Joan Smith of Piper City, Illinois. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
