She was predeceased by : her parents, Elba Schlieper and Jessie Schlieper; and her husband John B. Hirst. She is survived by : her children, Carl Hirst (Charollette) of Mexico, MO, Ruth Cordle Norton of Charleston, Pat Barker (Rick) of Springfield, IL, Gene and Mary Jane; her sons-in-law, Morris Cordle and George Norton; and her siblings, Junior Schlieper, Irene Sims and Odette Schlieper. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.
