He was predeceased by: his father Walter Nichols; his father-in-law Jim Franke; his brother-in-law Craig Franke; his nephew Andrew Dominguez; his grandparents, Donald, Patricia Moore, Jack and Ana Mae Nichols; and his brother Daniel Fitz.
He is survived by: his mother Jennifer Nichols (Moore); his wife Nikki; his children, Lucas Nichols, Liam Simon and Lila Simon; his mother-in-law Bonnie Franke; and his brothers, Scott (Kim Franke) and Jim (Sheila Franke). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (226 E Adams St, Pittsfield, IL 62363). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the TRUX Building (14 East Industrial Drive, Pittsfield, IL 62363).
