He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl H. Blacketer and Marjorie Blacketer; his brother Carl S. Blacketer; and his brother-in-law Jack McGraw. He is survived by: his son Justin Blacketer (Sarah) of Payson, IL; his siblings, James Blacketer (Darlene), Preston Blacketer and Thelma McGraw (Daniel); and his sister-in-law Wanda Blacketer. He is also survived by three aunts; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
