It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Brannan of Pittsfield, Illinois, who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Brannan and Ruth Hyde Brannan; his former wife Carol Norton; his wife Sharon Storck Stecker; and his sisters, Lois Childers and Mary Lou Tozar.
He is survived by: his sons, Terry Brannan (Becky) of Pearl, IL, Ronell Brannan (DeeDee) of South Roxana, IL and Torry Stecker (Judy) of Pittsfield, IL; his grandchildren, Tasha Brannan Kirk of Pittsfield, Trent Brannan (Melissa) of Pittsfield, Travis Brannan (Courtney) of Bloomingdale, GA, Kimberly Stecker (Lucas) of Cape Girardeau, MO and Hunter Stecker of Pittsfield; his great grandchildren, Ryan Tunget, Lainey Kirk (J. J. Miller), Lukas Kirk, Westin Buss, Kolt Brannan, Waylon Kirk, Jasper Brannan, Journee Brannan, Tessa Brannan, Amelia Brannan, Calla Brannan and Jasper Miller; his sister Meg Pekar; and his sisters-in-law, Marcine, Pam, Anita and Nancy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to be made to East Pike Fire Protection District.
