It is with sadness that the passing of Helen Wright of Pittsfield, Illinois is shared. Helen, born on October 31, 1931, passed away on October 27, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Wright to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hower and Margaret Hower (Reynolds); her husband Harry Wright Jr.; her son Harry Smith Wright III; her siblings, Margaret and Charles Hower; and her in-laws, Georgia, Ron Scherer, Carol, Terry Beck and Wayne Wright.
She is survived by: her sons, John Wright (Funmi) of Columbus, IN and Peter Wright (Anita) of Pittsfield, IL; her grandchildren, Ebun Okuleye-Ash (Kareem), Tobi Wright, Yomi Wright, Margaret Calvey (David) and Zoe Wright; her great grandchildren, Kai Ash, Knox Ash, Charles Calvey, Xavier Calvey and Kharter Wright; her sister Barbara Hower; and her in-laws, Marilyn Whitman (Bill) and Marjorie Wright. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Niebur Funeral Home (530 W Adams St, Pittsfield, IL 62363). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at the Oakwood Cemetery (8 Douglas Dr, Pittsfield, IL 62363).
Memorials are suggested to be made to the Pittsfield Public Library.
