He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold L. Cawthon and Mildred E. Jackson Cawthon; his son Dwayne Cawthon; and his brothers, Ronald Lee Cawthon, James Cawthon and Frank Cawthon.

He is survived by: his children, Timothy Cawthon (Beth) of Ewa Beach, HI and Dea Dlugos (Tim) of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Mat Cawthon (Kheycel), Stephen Dlugos, Koty Cawthon (Matti), Dylan Cawthon, Sarah Dlugos, Trevor Cawthon (Kiersten), Kennedy Barnett (Drew) and Drew Sorrell; and his siblings, Larry Cawthon (Judy Ann), Wayne Cawthon and Karen DeHart (Robert). He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Pittsfield West Cemetery (24123 N Grove St, Pittsfield, IL 62363).
