He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Harris and Goldie Harris (Hastings); his in-laws, Wendell, Rachel Garner, Jim Harris (Marilyn), Dorothy Zulauf (George), Francis Robinette, Wanda Harris and George Hively; and his siblings, Arthur Harris, Martha Harris and Myrtle Fee.

He is survived by: his wife Imogene Garner; his children, Carol Barton (Bob) of Clinton, IL, Linda Girard (Jim) of Hannibal, MO and Brian Harris (Heidi) of Quincy, IL; his grandchildren, Brad Barton (Paula), Greg Barton (Abbi), Matt Barton (Katie), Kristin Blum (Joey), Megan Carter (Wes), Alex Harris, Michael Girard (Brooke Swope) and Ben Harris; his great grandchildren, Kylie Barton Mya Barton, Jax Barton, Reese Barton, Aubrey Barton and Robbie Blum; and his siblings, Joe Harris of Barry, IL and Rosie Hively of Barry, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
