He was predeceased by: his parents, Bowe Ray and Alice Fitzsimons Ray; and his brother-in-law Lyle F. Wegs. He is survived by: his sister Alice J. Wegs of Quincy, IL; his nieces, Christine Morris, Diane Genenbacher (Jeff) and Sandra Smith (Brendon); and his nephew Daniel Wegs (Janelle).
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Niebur Funeral Home (530 W Adams St, Pittsfield, IL 62363). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (226 E Adams St, Pittsfield, IL 62363).
Memorials are suggested to be made to Knights of Columbus or Saint Mary's School in Mt. Sterling.
