It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan C. Eckman of Plainfield, Illinois, who passed away on May 4, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Axel Carl and Dorothy Eckman; his significant other Georgene Savich; his daughters, Geannine Megazzini (Steven) of Dandridge, TN., Kristine Kietzer (Kurt) of Brillion, WI. and Shari Phelps (Michael) of Plainfield, IL.; his grandchildren, Sarah Megazzini, Jack Phelps, Julia Nickel (Ryan), Alison Phelps, Kaitlyn and Sawyer Ludwig; his fiancé Matthew Megazzini (Olivia Stewart); his sister Jane Skuta; and his sister-in-law Martha Harms.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Morton Arboretum or the Dementia Society of America will be appreciated.
