We announce the death of Arlene Bright of Plainfield, Illinois, born in Downers Grove, Illinois, who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 91. Arlene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband John E. Bright; her parents, Justa and Marge; and her sister Patsy Holmes (late William). She is survived by: her children, Mitchell Bright (Julie) of Plainfield and Marcelle McClenahan (Daniel) of Soddy Daisy, TN; and her grandchildren, Sydney Bright (Drake Rassmussen-Smith), Preston Bright, Connor Bright, Trevor McClenahan and Joshua McClenahan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home (15219 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544).
