He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Jeropke and Jeanne Jeropke; his parents-in-law, Lorraine and Charles Zamb; his brother Gerald Jeropke (Michelle); and his brother-in-law William Zamb.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine M. "Cathy" Jeropke; his children, Nick Jeropke (Shannon) of Berwyn, IL and Sarah Zurales (Andy) of Shorewood, IL; his grandchildren, Clara, Baby J Jeropke, Andrew, Connie, Hannah and Teddy Zurales; his siblings, Donna Svejda (late Renald), Bobby Jeropke (late Betty), Nancy Kunze (Royal) and Linda Keating (Ed); his sisters-in-law, Peggy Reeb, Mary Thompson (John), Rita Conrad and Anne Stringham; and his godchildren, John Kunze, Ed Keating, Rachel Conrad and Emily Thompson.

“Have not seen Jim in years. I attended HS with him, I looked up to Jim. I thought the world of him. He was kind, smart, funny and treated everyone as a friend and with respect. I recently connected with him and we agreed that we were both excited to reconnect at our upcoming 50th HS reunion.
