He was predeceased by: his wife Madeline Frey; his parents, Theodore Frey and Cleophus Frey; and his siblings, William Frey (late Helen), Mary Ann Oberst (late Gerald) and George Frey (Margaret).
He is survived by: his children, Laura Gilbert (Ken), Sarah Van Alstine (Andy), Julia Easter (Brad), Jim Frey (Casey) and Daniel Frey (Rachael Clark); his grandchildren, Noah, Ethan, Theodore Easter, Colby, Blake Van Alstine, Spencer, Jamen Frey, Jacob Gilbert and Madeline Frey; and his sister Laura Goins (late Bill). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home (15219 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (600 Brook Forest Ave, Shorewood, IL 60404).
