She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Bankenbush and Lillian Bankenbush; her husband Roman Winkels; her stepfather Albin Winkels; her children, Leo Winkels and LuAnn Winkels; and her brother John Bankenbush.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Winkels, Randy Winkels (Torey) and Bonnie Bernhard; and her stepsiblings, Marlene Canny (late Arleigh) and Albert Winkels (Lois). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431).
