She was predeceased by : her husband William Mitchell; her sons, George "Vinny" Mitchell and William "Bill" Mitchell (Sharon); her grandson Sam Gochis; and her sister Dorothy Demik.

She is survived by : her sons, Scott Mitchell (Lauren) and Marc Mitchell (Tricia); her daughters-in-law, Sharon Mitchell and Sandy Mitchell; her grandchildren, Brittany Mitchell, Ashley Mitchell, Kyle Townsend, Nick Gochis, Tom Gochis, William Mitchell, Kaitlyn Mitchell, MacKenzie Mitchell, Everett Mitchell, Ashton Mitchell, Brady Mitchell and Beckett Mitchell; and her great grandchild Bailey Gochis.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home (15219 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A prayer was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (6001 W 111th St, Alsip, IL 60803).
