He was predeceased by: his wife Irene Zallis; his parents, Joseph Zallis and Mary Zallis; and his siblings, Walter Zallis (Mary Lou) and Josephine Zallis.

He is survived by: his children, David Zallis (Jeannie), Mark Zallis (Theresa), Gale Corich (John) and Robin O'Hara (Jay); his grandchildren, Jessica Goc (Erik), David Zallis (Laurel), Grant Zallis (Alex Griffith), Lauren Whittinghill (Gabrielle), Nicholas Zallis (Sheila), Gillane LeJeune (Kyle), Morgan Corich (Zachary Stirn), Taylor Corich, Jaycob O'Hara and Jack O'Hara; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Zachary, Josephine Goc, Zander, River Zallis, Alena, Audrina, Jonathan Zallis, Parker Sheen, Gwyneth Zallis and Andrew LeJeune. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Richard Zallis to Residential Hospice Foundation (Troy, MI), Saint Jude or Shriners Foundation.
