He is survived by: his wife Mary T. Scanlan; his sons, Robert J. Scanlan (Christine Rusiecki), Scott Scanlan (Lisa) and Patrick Scanlan (Samantha); his grandchildren, James, Trevor Scanlan, Sylvia, Quinn and Sawyer Scanlan; and his sibling Glen Scanlan.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home (15219 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church (15629 Illinois Rte 59, Plainfield, IL 60544).
