He was predeceased by: his former wife Catherine Shurson (Sandretto); and his parents, Robert Shurson and Clara Shurson. He is survived by: his wife Dixie; his sister Diane Racich (Jim); his children, Mark Shurson (Leslie), Lynn Hudon (Frank) and Lisa Horvatin (Joe); and his stepchildren, Tammey Ryan (Tom), Theresa Hawken and Hamday Alley.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS donations in his memory to either the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (http://www.nationalmssociety.org) or the Parkinson's Foundation (http://www.parkinson.org) appreciated.

“Bob with his wife Dixie have been such a blessing in our lives for over 35 years when we joined their small faith community. We enjoyed Christian service work and strengthening our faith with them. Bob sold our home in Phoenix, helped us move and even helped start the building of our next home, a log in northern AZ. We were blessed to see and visit with them over the years after they moved to Illinois. Bob will be missed but we know we will see him again.”
