With sadness, we share the passing of Ruth Foyeke Adeleye of Plainfield, Illinois. Ruth, born on January 12, 1947, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Oyekan and Jacob Oyekan; her husband Gabriel Gbadebo Adeleye; and her brother Joseph. She is survived by: her children, Victoria, Eugenia, Gladys and Alexander; her grandchildren, Gabriel, Elizabeth, Shiloh, Sarah, Isreal, Morin and Azariah; her nieces, Odunola, Funmilola, Ibukun and Ifeoluwa; and her nephew Tosin. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, extended family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 1:15 PM at the Plainfield Township Cemetery (15408 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544).
