He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernardo Gamboa and Maria of Jesus Ramirez; and his siblings, Francisco Gamboa, Manuel Gamboa, Maria Gamboa, Emilia Gamboa, Margarita Gamboa and Luis Gamboa.
He is survived by: his wife Aurora; his daughters, Bertha Muralles (Mauricio) of Oswego, IL, Leticia DeLeon (Ottman) of Plainfield, IL, Teresa Magana (Ramiro) of Burbank, IL and Patricia Gamboa-Choate (Jeff) of Plainfield, IL; his grandchildren, Yessica Guerrero, Daniel Muralles, Stefani Muralles, Andres DeLeon, Christopher DeLeon, Ramiro Magana, Jr., Anthony Magana, Deanna Rodriguez (Victor), Monica Gamboa, Jeffrey Choate, Jr., Rebecca Choate and Eliza Choate; and his great grandchild Miya Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home (15219 Joliet Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church (15629 Illinois Rte 59, Plainfield, IL 60544).
