Valerie M. King Obituary

We announce the death of Valerie M. King of Plainfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 62. Valerie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Patricia Ann (Baity) and Jeffery King; and her brothers, Roger Eddy and Charles James. She is survived by: her child Zhamir Chambers; her siblings, Christine King, Victoria King, Jeffery King (Jennifer), Andre King (Jeanine) and E. Deirdre Manigo; her nieces and nephews, Misha Seals, London Stamps, Jessica King, Alex Johnson, Isabella King, Christian King, Rachel King, James King, Jeremiah King and Lauryn Manigo; and her great-nephews, Elijah and Ezra Stamps. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (1404 S Briggs St, Joliet, IL 60433). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
