He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Johnson and Bertha Johnson (Berg); his wife Nancy (Herman); his sister Shirley; and his daughter Jodi Norcross.
He is survived by: his son Jay Johnson (Cathy); his son-in-law Barry Norcross; and his grandchildren, Bryan Johnson (Rachel), Ethan Johnson (Ashley), Christian Misurac (Matthew), Noah Norcross (Becky) and Seth Norcross (Kelsey). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Hope Lutheran Church in Shorewood, Lightways Hospice, or The Door Christian Center, 353 Wilcox St. Joliet, IL 60435 (where his grandson pastors).
