He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Burdette and Berniece Irene McClintock Ruyle; his brother Robert "Bob" Ruyle; and his son-in-law Tadd Hyde. He is survived by: his wife Donna of Pleasant Hill; his children, Jay Ruyle (Dianna) of Carrolton and Shari Hyde of Pleasant Hill; his grandchildren, Aaron Waters (Lacey) of Pleasant Hill, Toad Waters (Erin) of Lyons, MI, McKenzie Kraut (Cody) of Carrolton and Kennedy Ruyle (Brett) of Carrollton; his stepgrandsons, Kenny Hyde (Olivia) of Springfield and Matthew Hyde (Summer) of Springfield; and his great grandchildren, Talon and Reid Waters.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Crescent Heights Cemetery Association or to the Pleasant Hill Wolves Football Program.
