Zelma L. Turner Obituary
In loving memory of Zelma L. Turner of Pleasant Hill, Illinois, who departed this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 100. Zelma leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Zelma farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Zelma is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Turnbough and Dorothy Turnbough; her spouse Dallas H. Turner; and her children, Larry Turner and Brenda Scranton.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Cloninger (Leo) of Bowling Green, MO, Linda Boyd of Louisiana, MO, Louise Turner of Pittsfield and Randy Turner (Regina) of Belleview. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lummis Funeral Home (502 S Main St, Pleasant Hill, IL 62366). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Upper Indian Creek Cemetery (1347 Frank Bay Rd, Viburnum, MO 65439).
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.
