As we bid Carol Rae farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Carol Rae is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Willis-Lehmann and Mary Willis-Lehmann. She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Montgomery (Josh) and Elizabeth Rollins (Eric); and her grandchildren, Alexandra, Adelyn and Andersen Rollins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hurley Funeral Home - Petersburg (122 W Douglas St, Petersburg, IL 62675). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at the Pleasant Plains Cemetery (700 Business, Pleasant Plains, IL 62677).
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
