She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Kettelkamp and Helen Kettelkamp (Purvines); her husband James P. Verkuilen; her brother-in-law Glenn Wood; her son-in-law Dale Abbott; and her niece Susan Washington (Veronica Ganem Hernandez).
She is survived by: her daughters, Amy Abbott of Mt. Zion, IL and Lori Rogers (Lance) of Eureka; her grandchildren, Kaleb, Trey Verkuilen, Keeley Tinsley, Gabriella, Danielle and Timothy Rogers; her sister Sally Wood; her children, Heike of Germany, Eskandar of Mexico and Esther of Mexico; and her grandchildren, Kathryn and Jorge Argaez of Mexico. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
