It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carole I. Augustin of Pocahontas, Illinois, born in Highland, Illinois, who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Alvin C. Mettler; her spouse Burnell J. Augustin; her mother Pauline Emma Mettler (Messerli); and her brother-in-law Eugene A. Meffert. She is survived by: her children, Teri L. Testerman (Michael) of Granite City, IL, Brent D. Augustin (Denise) of Highland, IL and Bruce J. Augustin (Cynthia) of Highland, IL; her grandchildren, Courtney L. Geidel (Joshua) of Warrensburg, MO, Colin M. Testerman of Osage Beach, MO, Lori Elizabeth "Beth" Patrick and Matthew E. Augustin of Grantfork, IL; her great grandchildren, Graham J. Geidel of Warrensburg, MO, Bennett M. Geidel of Warrensburg, MO and Maren E. Geidel of Warrensburg, MO; her nieces, Debbie Meffert, Peggy A. Haukap (Randy) and Donna J. Munie (David); her nephew Brad C.; and her sister-in-law Ellen Mettler of Godfrey, IL..
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Grantfork United Church-Christ (206 S Locust St, Highland, IL 62249).
