With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leila J. Ulmer of Pocahontas, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Leila left this world on December 17, 2024 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hunziker and Frieda Hunziker. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Marie Ulmer of Greenville, IL, Linda Lee Hinch (Randy) of Mulberry Grove, IL, Rande John Ulmer of Spring Creek, NV and Susan Kay Ulmer of Pocahontas, IL; and her grandchildren, Natalie Jane Parr of Pocahontas, IL, Wendy Lynn Zeeb of Greenville, IL, Whitney Marie Plunkett of Winston-Salem, IL, Lisa Suzanne Poubelle of Burke, VA, Philip Riley Hinch of Mulberry Grove, IL and Haley Jane Brewer of Winston-Salem, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home (1501 9th St, Highland, IL 62249). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bond County Hospice.
