Ruth L. Martin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2025, at the age of 99, Ruth L. Martin of Pontiac, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Ruth's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Ruth has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Dunham and Vernice Dunham (Harkrider); her husband Paul Martin; and her sister Marilyn Dempsey. She is survived by: her son Dennis Martin; her siblings, John "Sonny" Dunham, Lillian Yergler and Gayle Bayleat; her sons, Douglas Martin (Laurie) and David Martin (Cindy); and her brother S. Dell Dunham of Maple Park, IL. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
