He is survived by: his wife Patricia Johnson; his children, Walt Schearer (Samantha), Laura Keane (Mike), Deb Ashton (Bob), Trish Grzesik (Ed) and Eric Schearer (Susan); his grandchildren, Alex, Dan, Matt, Katie (Johnmark), Cassie (Shaan), Mary, Nathaniel, Alice, Miriam, Grace, Eric, Paul, David, Joe, Maggie, Claire, Lucy, Esther and Brigid; his great grandchildren, Christopher, Emma and Theodore; and his sisters, Mary Schearer and Barbara Otto.
