We announce the death of Dennis Oney of Port Byron, Illinois, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 76. Dennis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Oney and Rosie Oney (Blair); and his siblings, Doug Oney and Terri Oney. He is survived by: his wife Veronica "Roni" Willis; his children, Tara Ditchen (Jeremiah) of San Jose, CA, Nathan Oney, Nicholas Oney (Rebecca) of Alexandria, VA and Joel Oney (Megan) of Geneva, IL; his grandchildren, Rosie, Lincoln, Lawrence, Reign and Wynne Oney; and his siblings, Connie DeWitte (Dick), Don Oney (Cathy), Bonnie Benson of Hillsdale, IL and Robert "Wick" Oney (Paula) of Gladwin, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bird House Hospice Home or the Alzheimer's Association.
