She was predeceased by: her husband Paul "Swede" Carlson; her close friend Robert Dietrick; her great grandchildren, Salena Findley and Shavonna Fiems; and her son-in-law Joseph Findley, Sr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Ruth Ann Baughn (Steve), Charlotte Findley and Peggy Fiems (Tom); her sisters, Glenda West and Linda Tharp; her grandchildren, Chuck Ditto, Jennifer Daniels, Joseph Findley, Jr. and Thomas Fiems, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Bryce Ditto, Ashley Ditto, Tim Daniels, Lillian Goodenow, Kael Findley, Emily Fiems, Peyton Fiems and Piper Fiems; and her great great grandchild Zoey Baughn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. - Port Byron (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Niabi Zoo in memory of Loretta Carlson.
