It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria M. Hornbaker of Prairie City, Illinois, who passed away on May 5, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Gloria is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Gloria's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ila Faye Ford and Kendall Shriver; her husband Jay C. Hornbaker; and her daughter Christina Hornbaker. She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Hornbaker of Bushnell and Cimberly Smith (Butch) of Bushnell; and her sister-in-law Kate Havens. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
