Charles E. Meyer Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 19, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Charles E. Meyer of Prairietown, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin J. Meyer and Lucile K. Meyer (Gusewelle); his brother James Meyer; and his siblings-in-law, Gary and Carla Jacobs.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Meyer of Prairietown, IL; his sons, Allen Meyer (Kim) of Staunton, IL, Glenn Meyer (Janine) of Staunton, IL and Brian Meyer of Prairietown, IL; his grandchildren, Michael, Elijah (Samantha), Kendall, Brady (Emma), Luke and Jillian; his brothers, John Meyer (Judy) of Nebraska and Ralph Meyer (Laura) of Wisconsin; and his sister-in-law Orra Lee Meyer of Michigan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, & dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church (7183 Renken Rd, Dorsey, IL 62021). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Prairietown Volunteer Fire Department or to St. Peter's Lutheran Church - two organizations close to Charlie's heart.
