He is survived by : his father Grover Whitley (Mike); his wife Debra (May); his children, Sarah (Samantha Crow), Amy Magner (Dustin) and Nick May (Katie); his grandchildren, Braxton and Shelby; and his siblings, Michael Whitley (Denise), Dean Whitley (Kim), Deborah Whitley and Cheyanne Taylor (Stormy). He is also survived by his quirkiness.

Throughout his career he achieved numerous milestones and made significant contributions to the community.
