He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Swanson and Orpha Swanson (Wilson). He is survived by: his wife Janet Swanson of Princeton; his daughter Holly Nelson (Nick) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Kylee Broadus, Nora Nelson and Dillon Nelson of Anson, ME.; and his pet Tinker.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
