He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Walter and Ada Walter (Searl); his brother Benjamin Walter; and his wife Wilma McKee. He is survived by: his children, Carl Walter of Spring Valley, IL, Bonnie Burkman (Barry) of Princeton, IL, Sherry Metz (Steve) of Fairbury, IL, Pat Pearson (Larry) of Malden, IL and Doris "Dorrie" Simon (Steve) of Owatonna, MN; his grandchildren, Denise Burkman, Shawn Burkman, Rob Burkman (Kimi), Chris Metz (Lauren), Kim Maloch (Trevor), Emily Rosenberger (Clif), Paul Pearson and Stacy Sink (Matt); his stepgranddaughter Brit Erler (Toby); his great grandchildren, Mckenzie Rosenberger, Harrison Maloch, Theo Metz, Grace Maloch, Clinton Rosenberger, Walter Metz, Claire Maloch, Thaddeus Burkman, Amelia Maloch and Elliott Burkman; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kiya Erler and Kelton Erler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hollowayville United Church of Christ or Compassus Hospice Care.
