He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ganther and Rosie Ganther (Yingling); his wife Juanita Ganther; his children, David Ganther, Kenneth Ganther and Debra Douthett; and his siblings, Otto Ganther, Ted Ganther, Bertha Mitchell and Ricka Cooper.

He is survived by: his son Michael Albert Ganther. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. (701 E Thompson St, Princeton, IL 61356). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Valley Memorial Park (13312 IL-89, Spring Valley, IL 61362).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for charitable distribution.
