With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joshua Ellis of Princeton, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 48. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Joshua is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joshua's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ellis and Debbie Ellis (Wiese); and his wife Rachel Lynn Mathers. He is survived by: his children, Skyler Ellis of Princeton and Kieragan Ellis of Princeton; and his partner Nickole Allen of Princeton.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hurst Funeral Home (650 5th St, La Salle, IL 61301). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
