He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Arthur Pollock and Helen Pollock Thorp (Gibbs); his stepfather Bill Thorp; his sister Terrill Mares; his nephew Todd Mares; his brother David Mares; and his in-laws, Jeanne and Harlow Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Brown Pollock of Princeton, IL; his son Aaron Pollock of Princeton, IL; his niece Shelly Clark (Mike); his great-niece Molley Mares; and his favorite doodle Oliver. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, one great great-niece and one great great-nephew.
