It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Pamela Jean Nelson (Princeton, Illinois), who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. For Pamela Jean is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Nordstrom and Dorothy Nordstrom (Erickson); and her sister Phyllis. She is survived by: her husband Wendell Nelson of Princeton, IL; her children, Susan Nelson of Chicago, IL, Joanna Gates (Josh) of Hockessin, DE and Mitchell Nelson (Alexandra Wilson) of Wayne, ME; and her grandchild Anders Gates. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Matthews Lutheran Church (416 Dover Rd, Princeton, IL 61356). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the music program at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church-a cause dear to Pamela's heart.
