He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lester and Mary Francis Mathus (Deming); his sons, Terry Lee Mathus and David Loyd Mathus; his sister Barb Pruitt; his brother-in-law Richard Ball; and his nephew Craig "Dude" Ball.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Mathus of Peoria, Daren Mathus (Katie) of Peoria, Shelly Mathus, Brandan Mathus (Angie) of Bartonville and Spencer Mathus (Hannah) of Oceanside, CA; his grandchildren, Loreli, Candice, Miranda, Lily, Kyra, Coltan, Daxtan, Eli, Harper and Everly; and his sister Billie Ball of Peoria. He is also survived by five nieces, one nephew, and many cousins.
