It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlyn K. Bush of Prophetstown, Illinois, born in Sterling, Illinois, who passed away on May 18, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Bush and Coramae "Cork" Bush (Norman); and his former wife Carol Poel. He is survived by: his wife Janette Ballard of Prophetstown; his children, Kimberly Mehring (Paul) of Elmhurst, IL and Craig Bush (Jennifer) of Olathe, KS; his grandchildren, Erin, Morgan Mehring, Alexander and Ashley Bush; and his brother Milton Bush (Jan) of Morrison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established to the local fire departments, and search and rescue teams.
