It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ervin S. Massingill of Prophetstown, Illinois, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Isaac and Grace Caroline Massingill (Munter); his wife Carol Harker; and his siblings, Thomas Massingill and Betty Gibson.

He is survived by: his children, Kent Massingill (Belinda) of Bellevue, IA and Marsha Riley (Mike) of Moline; his daughter-in-law Noreen White of Atkinson; his grandchildren, Brian Massingill (Julia) and Angie Solie (Jared); and his great grandchildren, Braedon, Emma, Tanner and Elaina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are being requested to the Prophetstown Ambulance Service.
