John R. Jorgenson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John R. Jorgenson of Prospect Heights, Illinois, who passed away on January 17, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his children, Christa Wheatley (Neil), Cindy Carlson (late Ken) and Jeffrey "Scottie" Jorgenson; and his brother Donald C. Jorgenson. He is survived by : his spouse Lyle Bouxsein; his daughter Sheri Brandt (Ron); his stepsons, William (Barbara) and Bradley Bouxsein; and his grandchildren, Mark Brandt, Ambria, Lillian Wheatley and Brian Bouxsein.

“Susie and I are very sorry for your loss, and we are also sorry that we will be unable to attend the services for John. He was a great man and a great friend. I am grateful that he served as one of my aides when I was Grand Commander and for the hospitality that he and you showed to us over the years. We are happy that we got to visit with both of you a month ago; you have been great friends.”
