He was predeceased by: his stepfather Chris Boyer; his grandparents, David, JoAnn Porter, Dale and Stella Redd; his nephew Kingston Boyer; his uncle Rich; and his aunt Sandy Pruett.

He is survived by: his parents, Donald Porter and Kathy Redd Boyer; his children, Wyatt and Lauren of Quincy, IL; his sisters, Amy Masterson (Bill) of Monroe City, MO and Shelby Boyer of Quincy, IL; his parents-in-law, Carolyn (Reed) and Robert Humes; and his siblings-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Humes, John Reed (Felicia), Tammy Lummer (Eric) and Shelly Beahan. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
